Royal Lepage and Salmon’s combine for Shelter Garage Sale.

For a month or so, Salmon’s has been picking up donations of furniture for the Royal LePage National Women’s Shelter Garage Sale to be held at the Salmon’s yard on May 12.

Salmon’s awarded Atlas Platinum Status.

Atlas recognizes a continuing effort to provide customers with superior service at Salmon’s. Customers have on average rated Salmon’s service to be a 4.5 or better out of 5 for all services performed over the last 4 quarters. At the same time maintaining superior record keeping and communication with Atlas. This rating is currently less than 8% of all Atlas Agencies.

Getting it Right.

We had a situation with a customer recently, where the weight of her shipment ( and consequently the cost) was significantly higher than the budget or estimate. We could not readily explain the difference, so we made a significant refund. The client wrote the follow in note, which I thought was a good lesson to our in home estimaters, but also to potential customers at the time of estimate.

“thanks for getting back to me. I assure you that we did not bring things from another place and add to the list. Maybe I am just better at creating storage options in a small space than most or maybe ( the sales person) was having an off day. Although still more than expected mistakes happen and I an happy that you also acknowledged this. Perhaps in future one way to avoid this would be to open all closets/cupboards?

I will be happy to refer you in future as you have handled this well.

RBC Grand Fondo (Big Ride) to Whistler.

Salmon’s Driver Cecil Annett works with ride organizers to take luggage to Whistler and Bikes back to Vancouver.

Organizers had high praise for the services: “The event went off without a hitch. Cecil was phenomenal….As I am sure you would have expected. Thanks for the flexing with all our changes! —It was a rell great event and you guys certainly delivered. Thanks!!!”.

The organizers are looking to 10,000 riders next year. Wow!

ATLAS QUALITY AWARDS FOR 2010/11

Atlas Van Lines Canada announced the Quality Service awards for 2010/11 and Salmon’s Transfer Ltd. was named “Best in the West” with the Western Regional Agency Quality award this year. For superior quality and value to customers. and Salmon’s Driver Cecil Annett is Best in the West for the drivers, being awarded the Western Regional Quality Award for short haul drivers. Congratulations to and thank you to all staff and crew for looking after our customers so well.
