Moving Tips

Because moving can be a difficult experience for many, Salmon’s strives to do their utmost to ensure that it is as stress-free as possible. The key to successful moves is proper pre-planning. Customers are advised to arm themselves with as much information as they can in order to plan appropriately to ensure a pleasant relocation. Salmon’s representatives are professional and accredited consultants ─ ready sources of knowledge and experience which clients should avail themselves of. The information contained in this website is a valuable resource. Customers are urged to follow the links outlined below and elsewhere on this site so as to familiarize themselves with the various aspects of the moving process.

It is important to bear in mind that liability with respect to such items as photographs is limited to the value of the film, albums, etc. Since allowance is not made for items of sentimental value, as they do not have a cash equivalent, it is strongly advised that such items travel with clients.

Of special note is the following list of non-admissible items which household goods carriers are prohibited by law from transporting:
Explosives (ammunition, flares, fireworks, detonators, blasting caps…)
Gases under pressure or liquefied (propane, quick start, oxygen, acetylene, helium, aerosol cans, paint thinner, butane lighters, propane tanks…)
